Research Interests:
My research examines the direct and indirect effects of environmental
stress on aquatic communities. My focal species are local and
invasive amphibians, and I often work in ephemeral pond and stream habitats.
I examine how amphibians respond to multiple stressors, such as hydroperiod
changes, temperature and ultraviolet radiation, and how these responses
influence predators, competitors and pathogens. Agricultural impacts
on aquatic biodiversity and agro-ecology strategies are also a large
part of my research program.
