Current Projects:
Delivery of information, educational material and professional assistance to extension agents, government agency personnel, watershed councils, and the general public in salmonid ecology, fish habitat, aquatic ecology, and watershed management related issues in support of the Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds.
Public seminars on salmonid ecology and habitat, and stream restoration and watershed management.
Literature synthesis regarding the effects of tide-gates on fish passage.
Development of educational CD-ROM on salmon biology, habitat restoration and watershed processes.

Projects and Specialties
Steve Theberge is the newest Extension Sea Grant Agent. He comes to Oregon from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection at the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve near Naples, Florida.
He has a strong marine education background, including service with the New England Aquarium as a marine biologist, as a naturalist, and - early in his career - as a self-employed commercial fisherman in New England.
