Professional Science Masters in Fisheries and Wildlife Administration

MS in Fisheries or Wildlife Science
MS degrees in Fisheries Science or Wildlife Science require a minimum of 45 credits. A maximum of 12 thesis credits can be applied to this minimum in a program of study. The Fisheries and Wildlife Department does not require specific courses for a graduate program. Coursework should be planned in consultation with your faculty advisor and graduate committee. A program of study should be filed by the time you have completed 18 credits in your degree program.

PhD in Fisheries or Wildlife Science
Doctoral degrees in Fisheries Science or Wildlife Science require a minimum of 108 credits. A minimum of 36 thesis credits must be completed after admission to your PhD program. The Department of Fisheries and Wildlife does not require specific courses for a graduate program. Coursework should be planned in consultation with your faculty advisor and graduate committee. A program of study should be filed by the end of your first year of enrollment in your degree program.

Specializations

Our program is unique in that all undergraduate students develop their own specialization. You, in consultation with the department faculty, will refine your career and life goals and develop a course of study to help you achieve those goals. Some sample specializations include Large Mammal Ecology, Conservation Biology, and Ecosystem Management.
