Graduation Information
Commencement
Oregon State has one formal commencement ceremony each year in June. All students interested in attending commencement should review related content on the Graduate School website.
Deadlines are set for spring term graduates to be guaranteed they will receive their diploma at commencement. OSU is one of the only schools that still hands out actual diplomas at commencement. Students not meeting the posted deadlines can still attend, but will most likely have to pickup their diploma after commencement.
Regalia
Regalia can be purchased at the Beaver Store for both students and faculty. There will be a Grad Fair at the Beaver Store, check the Graduate School Commencement page for dates.
Leaving the Department
We have two additional requests before you depart. The first request is for you to complete a short exit survey to get some feedback on your experiences in Fisheries and Wildlife. This will help us improve the program and better serve our students. If you do the survey you will complete our second request. If you choose not to do the survey, then please give our Graduate Program Coordinator your permanent email address or get the lifetime address through OSU. We will only contact you to ask for your feedback on our Survey of Graduates that we do every three years. The student account that was set up when you were admitted to the department will remain active for one year beyond your graduation date.
FW Job Board
Don't forget, we are now maintaining a list of jobs that are advertised by FW faculty or have been sent to FW faculty for distribution.
