Meredith Pochardt

I am working to develop a population estimate for eulachon (Hooligan), a small anadromous smelt species that spawns along the west coast. My work is located near Haines, Alaska and the northern portion of the Inside Passage. We are combining mark-recapture, Catch-per-unit-effort, and environmental DNA (eDNA) techniques to determine the most cost-effective method for gathering population data in remote areas.
